Free People Tunic, on sale Here and Here // Over the Knee Boots // Earrings // Wallet

For the past few years I have been secretly lusting over this tunic. I am a huge Free People fan; I love how their pieces can be worn by ladies with so many different styles, they’re just super universal! However, their prices can be a little high for me, which has kept me from getting this tunic. Snagging Free People items on sale can make all the difference, and this piece really is beautiful! I will say the midsection is see through, so you would need to wear a slip or something of that nature to waltz around in it (I wore Spanx because I hate wearing shorts or slips under dresses, and then a cute bralette!).

Another trend that I hadn’t embraced until now were over the knee boots. As someone who’s legs are not small sticks, I just felt like the trend didn’t suit me. I tried on countless pairs; all of which were not flattering, didn’t make it over my actual knee, or got super weird and frumpy if they had a zipper. I gave it another whirl this season and FINALLY found a flattering pair (insert confetti emoji here!!! Woot!). These are the miracle OTK boots that finally worked, and I am so glad they did. They are stretchy, don’t have a zipper – so there’s no awkward sagging – and tie in the back so they don’t fall down. I had my heart set on a light grey/taupe color, but ended up going with the charcoal! I’d love to know if you end up getting these boots, especially if you’ve had issues with finding a complimentary pair of OTK boots in the past!
