When it comes to Disney, I can never get enough. It’s safe to say that obsessed is an understatement. During my childhood Disney movies were always a huge part of my family; both of my parents loved them & my brother and I enjoyed each one just as much! Remember when I said I can watch the same movie or the same show over and over without getting sick of it? That was me as a child. I’ll never forget my parents asking me what I wanted to watch and I, dead serious, saying I wanted to watch 101 Dalmatians… again. My mom would try to be nice and say “honey we just watched that one, maybe a different movie?” (the answer was obviously no, we had to watch 101 Dalmatians one hundred and one times).
We ventured to Walt Disney World once when I was in Middle School. My parents took us at that age so we would remember it and not have to go again. Can we all collectively laugh? Because I have been three more times in the past two years. My friend Katrina invited me a year ago, so technically we can blame her and her mom, Lori, for my addiction 😉 . They really changed the way I see Disney; when I went with my family we did a bunch of line waiting – in fact, most of my memories were of us waiting in line and us deciding whether or not the ride was worth it (Soarin’ was, we waiting for 2 hours twice because my fam loved it so much! It’s such a special ride for me because of that). However, when I went with Lori and Katrina it was a totally different experience. They have been well over 20 times, so they have Disney DOWN. We did not wait more than 20 minutes for any ride, fit almost everything in, and brought some food and snacks with us so we were eternally full while on vacation #priorities.
This fall, I knew I had to make it to Walt Disney World because my bff from UConn, Danielle, is currently living there for the Disney College Program! Katrina and Lori promised to be on call and to handle our Fastpasses for the whole trip, so I ventured to Disney World with 4 friends in tow! Matt, Emily, and Steve hadn’t been since childhood, and Svitlana had never been, so of course I was excited to share the magic with them all! We had an absolute blast, and I seriously cannot wait to venture back. One of the parts of our trip that was oh so magical was getting into the Magic Kingdom before rope drop. Katrina’s mom worked some magic and got us all reservations at Be Our Guest before the park opened, which was a dream come true! I knew I wanted some pictures with as few people as possible in the background, and we made that happen because of the early reservation. One other new experience from this trip was seeing Pandora: The World of Avatar for the first time. Flight of Passage had a four hour wait, but thankfully we all had Fastpasses. I have to say we were blown away by it, I was seriously screaming at a few parts, it’s so exhilarating. I also mayyyyy have upgraded to an Annual Pass, so now I basically have to go back once or twice to utilize it, right?!
Thank you so much for following along as I rant about Disney guys. Let me know if anyone is planning a future trip, I’d love to hear all about it! I also will be doing a Walt Disney World haul, but for now you can shop my adorable castle tee here!
